WIX XP oil filters are considered a aftermarket standard for oil filters. As everyone knows, OE filters are important due to design, WIX XP uses OE design, they meet all OEM spec per each SKU, and are designed to outperform and outlast OE style filters.
WIX XP Oil filter. The OEM Hyundai one is a good filter no doubt, but we weight both filters and cut them apart, the WIX XP is a much thicker filter and is significantly heavier, which proves its built tough. Also the WIX XP Filter is made to OEM Spec, meaning it has anti drain back valve so we do not lose oil pressure on cold start. The Hyundai OEM Filter costs us less money than WIX XP, if we thought it was a better filter we would include it with this kit, however we believe this is the best filter for our platform.
